before going on holidays...

Hi kids!
I found this video in the internet and I think it can help you save our planet, or at least, it gives you great ideas to fight pollution!
Tell your parents about it and don't forget... thinking "small" may be the answer!
Watch the video and convince your parents to use less plastic bags when they go shopping... maybe you can use another kind of bags made from cloth! The great advantage is that they are reusable!
Think about it!
bye...

Teen Magazines

Teen magazines are magazines aimed at teenage readers. They usually consist of gossip, news, fashion tips and interviews and may include posters, stickers, small samples of cosmetics or other products and inserts.
In many countries, teen magazines are aimed almost exclusively at teenage girls. Teenage boys, like adult men, usually buy magazines related to specific activities that they are interested in, such as motor vehicles, sports, or music.

We have been talking about teen magazines in our english class. Here are some covers of those magazines. If you want, you can CLICK on them and read the online version of each magazine.

You can also leave your opinion on teen magazines in the comments area.

Orthorexia... do you know what it is?

Raquel Soares has made some research and found out that:

Orthorexia

“The disease is characterized by an exaggerated concern about the type of food consumed. The orthorexics believe that only natural food (many vegetables, cereals, canned meat) are good for the body. Although the benefits of this type of food have already been proved, orthorexics end up harming themselves by taking food to a extreme rigidity.
The problem begins when the concern about food starts to take much of the day of these individuals. The orthorexics do not measure efforts to buy their food: they travel long distances and pay much higher than the real value of common food. Besides, these people refuse to eat in their friends’ houses and relatives for not knowing what will be served.
When failing to comply with their objectives they are taken by great feelings of guilt and then become even more radical, which shows the character of their unhealthy behaviour.”
